Why Geico
What locations are you available to work at
J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez GEICO
Entretien
I was approached by Geico via LinkedIn during my senior year of college to be a participant of the Emerging Leaders Program, a rotational program where following 1.5-2 years of training in different departments I would be a low-level manager somewhere in the company. The interviews were all going well and there was nothing unusual at all. I went through one short introductory phone call and a second, longer phone-interview before being asked to come in for an in-person interview.
I was told HR would call to setup the interview and after 2 weeks I had heard nothing. I called to check in and was told it was in the works. Then out of the blue a week later a Geico HR rep calls and tells me that my interview is the next day in Maryland at 11:00am. Keep in mind I was in school at the time, over 2 hours away, and still taking classes full time. With proper notification I certainly could have addressed the scheduling concerns but with such short notice it was impossible.
I told them I would not be able to make it and that I would need to reschedule. After proposing some times (and again waiting nearly 2 weeks) I had a gut feeling this was not the right job for me. I called before hearing back from them to let them know I was withdrawing my name from consideration. Over the next 24 hours I received 3 calls from increasing levels of management telling me how I was a "liar", "disrespecting their program", and more. The last person to call - one of the regional directors - actually tried to pull the "You can't quit, you're fired" routine and let me know that I was no longer allowed to interview, even though I'd already told them I didn't want to.
It was a very strange experience and while the initial recruiter was very pleasant and professional everything following was strange, rude, and uncalled for. I would be careful working for Geico as it seems some of the people in middle management will react poorly if their ego isn't stroked.

Question 1
There were no difficult questions in either of the phone interviews . Just the old classics: "Where do you see yourself in 5 years?" etc.
J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez GEICO (San Diego, CA) en janv. 2021
Entretien
The process goes application, pre examination interview, examination, post examination interview, regional interview, and finally regional officer interview. It was a lot but everyone I spoke was incredibly encouraging and nice!

Question 1
Most of the questions were based on inherent leadership and past experiences as a leader.
J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez GEICO (Tucson, AZ) en nov. 2020
Entretien
Phone interview, two zoom interviews, second one about an hour or so and the final one. Very nice final interviewer, able to give another answer if they did not like the first one you gave, typical interview questions and in depth review of the program
