I applied for the job on a Wed night, the next day Thursday I got a call from Hr to do a face to face interview for the next day which was Friday. When I went to the interview I started out doing computer testing that took about 30 mins. It was a typing test and a multitask learn a system kind of test. I passed, it was easy. The interviewer was a mess! When the man called for the initial interview I told the man about my schedule wants and what I would accept. He told me the days off and asked was I still interested and I told him yes. Once I got the face to face interview the first question again was about scheduling I advised I would still work it even though on my app I checked Mon-Fri availabilty which I told the man on the phone and he still set up an interview and yet his first question was how long do you see yourself working this schedule since I see you only wanted to work Mon-Fri . I advised him ANY job I get when I accept it the schedule is the SET schedule I EXPECT to stay in for the duration of me working there unless they have shift bids but ultimately I was OK with working the non Mon-Fri schedule . He then asked about how long before I would leave if not promoted I advised him I heard from a CURRENT worker a person who got on the floor from training was offered a better position since the HR needed people and he proceeded to try to kind of argue with me about it and I was just telling him that this was shared with me and with hearing that if I did my job good and felt I was ready to move up and with the company being new if offered I would move up immediately if offered. He told me that what she told me wasnt true and proceeded to ask again the time frame I advised him i didnt have one I kind of go with the flow because when Im ready to move up I WILL know and he became very sarcastic asking “ So youd be ok with staying in the same position for 5 years waiting to be promoted?” By then I knew I wouldnt be offered a job and I became very uncomfortable. I dont know if the girl working their wasnt suppose to tell me about the person switching positions that fast and maybe she wasnt suppose to or maybe it was really just false, I dont know but the interview just went downhill from there. He then asked questions about my work history and gaps where I made it very CLEAR , the last 5 years I was a full time student pursuing my Bachelors that I recently received so my customer service positions were not lengthy and werent average call centers but ones for STUDENTS part time. He then proceeded to ask me questions “name a specific time” that didnt pertain to my current positions but ones PRIOR than the last 5 years where I couldnt remember specific times because I was a full time STUDENT. Most other SEASONED interviews say if it doesnt pertain to the recent jobs they ask about the same situations in my SCHOOLING or in life in general, yet he didnt. I dont believe the man was seasoned or even had the background or experience to do interviews he kept trying to push for an exact answer or certain situations i was or was NOT in , in previous jobs where I could not answer due to me being in school the last 5 years full time and the jobs I had didnt pertain to the question. Instead of asking “ What would you do in the certain situation ? “ or “ Name a time in schooling where ...” he KEPT pushing for questions that I could not answer. He even asked about feedback on preformance metrics and I told him the call center job I had in college didnt have any because it was so small and understaffed there was no meeting to discuss them and my current job I work overnights so I dont even SEE my manager. When it was time to ask questions I asked what could Geico offer me as an employee and he called his self “ CORRECTING “ me saying you mean as a candidate?”, when I said EXACTLY what I meant, that alone let me know he was not EXPERIENCED, not PROFESSIONAL and I definitely wasnt getting the job. I also was told by the CURRENT employee there is usually mock calls done in the interview process and I was never offered one after the horrible cringy interview with him and finally at the end was told “The hiring manager was out and your info would be forwarded to him when he gets back for an interview” instead of “ You didnt get the job” which I knew. The next buisness day which was Monday I was sent an email saying I didnt get the job which was expected. Im glad I didnt get it because if the HR staff was as inexperienced unprofessional and sarcastic as the interviewer was I wouldnt have wanted to work there anyways.

Process was very straightforward. I applied, and shortly after had the opportunity to take an assessment. Once those results came in a day or two later I was contacted to schedule a Webex interview. My interviewer was very nice and helpful and seemed genuinely engaged in my interview and getting to know me.
