Everything was great up until the roleplay. The phone interviews and assessments beforehand were properly explained, and the recruiter that I was in contact with was very professional. When I was scheduled to do the roleplay I was excited because I had never interviewed in that manner. However, when I arrived at the body shop nobody was aware that I was scheduled to roleplay that day. They were ready for me after waiting for about 30 mins. Like everyone else has stated, you are told you are an adjuster for a fictional company and you have to manage a day in the life of said adjuster; answer calls, manage estimates, and deal with 'customers' in person. My phone rang various times while I was preparing, so I would answer it assuming it was part of the roleplay. For some reason I was getting calls that were meant for the actual front desk of the body shop. I played along until I realized that I was speaking to actual customers. I was not sure where the test proctors were so the front desk staff helped me fix my phone issue. I wasted 10 good minutes on the phone with real customers and with the front desk staff that I could've used to prepare for the roleplay. I told the test proctors about my issue when they came in as 'customers' but they brushed it off and said not to worry about it. After the roleplay was over I emphasized that speaking to real customers and figuring out how deal with them threw me off a little and gave me less time to prepare. I asked if it would affect my results, but I was only pointed to the door and told that I would be hearing from them; very eager to get me out of there. Overall, I did not do as well I would've liked. I'd like to think I handled my issues as well as I could, but I was very disappointed because I was really looking forward to this interview. Being a Berkshire Hathaway company, I held GEICO to a higher interviewing standard. 2hours after the interview was over I received an email stating they would be moving forward without me.
