The position was posted without a listed salary range. Shortly after applying, I was contacted via text to schedule an interview (no email communication was provided). During the initial conversation, I was asked for my salary expectations. I asked for the salary range and was told there wasn’t one. After sharing my minimum requirement, I was told it was too high and "out of range” for the role” despite no defined range being communicated.
I was also told that my experience exceeded the needs of the role but made since for the salary I was looking for. I find this confusing since the company chose to move forward with interviewing me. The process felt impersonal and unclear, almost like a numbers game, rather than a genuine attempt to find the right fit. Overall, it was a misleading and frustrating candidate experience. Would not recommend this company to others.

Note: I only spoke to the Recruiter, so it only went to Recruiter Phone Screen.
DriveTime's process (for Talent Acquisition roles at least):
1. Contacted by Recruiter for a Phone Screen (30 mins).
2. Microsoft Teams panel interview with 2 supervisors.
3. Final interview with a mix of managers and supervisors.
I had the initial phone screen with the recruiter and it was a great interaction. I made it to the second round but declined to take it because the salary expectations for this role did not meet mine.
The salary for a Talent Acquisition Specialist structure is as follows:
- base salary: 46-56k DOE
- annual bonus: 10k, based on TEAM PERFORMANCE (no guarantee).
- Overall, comp. ~46-56k (very low for industry standards).
