After 4 years of successful business, I decided to take the next step in my career and apply for an international company. Eventually, I was offered an account executive role at Microsoft. Since my subsidiary employed relatively a small number of people, I was responsible for not only sales but also channel marketing of MS software for new devices. In particular, I partnered with local as well as international server and laptop companies to sell pre-installed Microsoft products and services to customers.
Basically, my job entailed finding leads and customers, converting them into the opportunities and closing deals to provide revenue.
Usually, projects were so complex that we had to tailor the technical advice of servers and laptops providers to fit consumers’ existing IT infrastructure.
The recruiter was super friendly and encouraging. She was always on time and checking in with me consistently throughout the interview process. The interview questions were standard, nothing out of the blue.

Interview is purely conversation based. They won’t ask situational questions or for you to sell them something. It is all determined on if they like your personality and deem you to fit the company culture

Was very disorganized process. All interviewers who I met with virtually were pleasant. I was scheduled to meet with the manager in person, but the manager was not there that day so two account executives interviewed me. One of the interviewers was unprofessional and rude, one was friendly and enjoyable to talk to. There were lots of red flags that arose during the in person interview. If I had gotten an offer I would have declined.
