Ciena came to ITC hotel, Bangalore to conduct interview on Saturday. I cleared 2 Java technical rounds post which HR asked me to fill the Employment Application form. Then happened the interesting HR round where the HR asked my current CTC(which I had already communicated to consultancy and also consultant told me that Ciena agreed on paying me the expected CTC) and he was surprised with my current CTC and he said you are already getting good salary. My CTC is average as per market standard for 5 years experience. I don't know what made him think my CTC to be high. He was negotiating a lot on my expected CTC and I was clear on that part as I had already communicated the same to consultancy at the time of scheduling interview. Later they did not come back which is unprofessional. Already communicating the expected CTC and after clearing all rounds, these guys shows surprising reaction to my expected CTC which was just 30-40 percent hike on my current CTC. It was just waste of my time.

I got a call from HR, I gave only one round of interview and was rejected. Interview was very great but the interviewer may not wanted to hire me. Those were all childish questions, all definitions in JavaScript, react, redux, css. I answered them, all of them, out of 1.5 hrs of discussion the hr has to give me feedback on thr 5 mins which i answered confusingly.. This was not my first interview, i gave hundreads of interviews till date and i know how it works. It was clear that the interviewer did not want to hire me, so he wantedly gave the negative feedback. I hoped for good, but after the feedback, i was like what a waste lf time.. Hr was very polite untill the interview happened, but after he got the feedback he changed his tone.. What rubbish.. The ciena interview process has to be more mature as the company is very grown up.. I could have argued on the feedback but looking at the tone of hr I thought this seems not to be a good place to work with such people and such politics.
