Hopefully they have changed their interviewers/process since last year. I interviewed back in 2017. The process was actually fine leading up! I had interviewed there before, but was invited back to the campus recruiting interviews, and the communication with the recruiters and everyone before the campus recruiting interviews were fine! They were inviting, friendly, and genuinely wanted to know my skills. At the campus recruiting event, we were shown a presentation, got to ask questions, and it was positive! That is, until I got interviewed by my first of 3 interviewers.
He was rude, cut me off, berated my skills and things on my resume, asked me to tell him a knock-knock joke, and when I showed him an SQL command, written, he told me "I could do without the angst" when I was not giving him any angst at all. He basically told me too, when I asked the best thing about working at CGI, that he enjoyed the flexibility and told me how he loved to go to a preacher conference, basically bragging about his religion in my face for a few minutes. I have no issues with that, but seemed inappropriate. I was totally stress interviewed, and it rattled me to the point that had they offered, I would have declined. My next interview was great, the employee was courteous and very nice. The final interviewer was fine as well, if not a bit distracted. Which I get, but I could have done without all the yawning while I was talking.
It's a shame, because IT jobs are so hard to come by in our area, but an experience like this will drive away talent. I certainly will never consider working there, and be warned that if you get an interviewer on a power trip, it didn't just happen to you.
