J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez CGI (Leatherhead, England) en avr. 2016
Entretien
1) Online Application
- Fairly straightforward, asking about your motivation and technical skills
- Recieved an email a few days later saying I progressed to next stage which was online assessment
2)Online Assessment
- Logical reasoning SHL test (45 min approx) again fairly straightforward, lots of practice papers online if you need help.
- Recieved an email a week after completing the test saying I passed and that the next stage is a quick phone call
3) Phone call
- No questions at all just a 5 minute chat about which sector is my preference and which location is my preference I said Reading or Leatherhead, and Defence sector.
-She also asked if i'm eligible to work in UK and if had any objections working on defence projects
-She also gave me 4 dates for an assessment centre and I chose the one in 2 months time due to projects, but some were only 2 weeks away so the entire could have been quicker if I had wanted.
4) Assessment Centre
- 2 really friendly people from HR and around 7 other people taking the assessment centre (I was the only undergraduate, the rest were graduates applying for graduate scheme)
- They gave a short presentation about CGI
- Group assessment (our task was to create a service that involves gamefication. Had a brief with points to take into consideration when designing it) 30 minutes to plan out and prepare a presentation which we later had to present in 10 minutes.
- Written Assessment (Given a case study about a project CGI has complete. I had to write a report going over a few bullet points which were given to me to discuss further into. Fair easy if you are good at picking out key facts out of 3 pages of text and write about it in 30 minutes. I didn't get to complete it as best as i wanted to do but I got a good 2 sides of text down which isnt too bad)
- Interview (One on one interview. Really friendly dude named Will. Went through about 20 competency questions I literally felt as if it was a never evending list. Examples include tell me about a time you convinced a senior collegue to use your idea, tell me about a time you used a method that wasn't the conventional method. Honestly I struggled and asked a few times to have a few moments to think about my answer but made it through in the end :D. After competency I had a few technical questions asking about the Operating systems ive used and what languages i'm familiar with. I also got asked baaaasic questions like what are primitive types in Java and what is a class, what is an object. Interview lasted about 1 hour 15 minutes.
- That was basically it. All in all lasted about 4 hours as we had alot of breaks to discuss oppurtunities and how everything works.
- I got a call the next morning saying they liked me and would like to offer me a the oppurtunity to join them for placement year.
- I thought the assessment centre was an absolutely great learning experience. Honestly was shocked I got seleced and can't wait to start :D

Quite long winded for a one year placement with low pay. There were multiple steps including in-person assessment days, and then you arrive and have to complete more interviews to get yourself off the bench.
