I went through three steps in June 2025: interviews with the local recruiter from Lisbon and two hiring managers, and I was supposed to have a final - more informal- interview to assess my native-language level. The interviews themselves were quite easy, as I mostly spoke about my background and they learned a bit about my soft skills by asking simple and predictable questions. Overall, everything felt like it was running smoothly. They scheduled all the interviews within a two week span, tried to accommodate my availability, and they were very responsive whenever I had questions or requests. Then, all of a sudden they just disappeared. After the third interview, I expected to receive an invite for the final assessment within the next few days. I waited a couple of weeks and eventually decided to send a follow up email to the recruiter, but I never got a reply. As a candidate, I simply felt lost and discouraged, because I don’t know whether I made a bad impression and they moved on with other candidates, or if the position was removed. It’s a bit of a shame. I was not expecting to be ghosted by such a big company.
