Spoke with a recruiter through email. They wanted to know salary expectations otherwise the process can't continue. I explained I would need to know the location and benefits package before giving a number. They explained the location portion but the benefits can only be discussed by HR AFTER I would be hired. Huh??? I never heard of such a thing from a company. Places generally start off with the benefits before even asking what my desired number is. Very surprised for a company of this magnitude.
