Don’t waste your time if you have industry experience. The below is about being material for Atlassian interviewers to practice on, a cycle of a chess game where you are just the Pawns to configure someone else’s mechanism of operation. It’s vital for any company to provide honest feedback but not to use it to cover the underlining company’s politics. Interviews: 1. Experience - went well. Qs about the overall experience. 2. Coding - went not so great but was offered to downgrade to mid-level from senior. Q: Build Rate Limiting. 3. Systems - went great. Q: Create a Web-Scrapping service. The feedback: Technical feedback didn’t reflect how the interviews went at all. I doubted at the moment while hearing that that was from my interview. The feedback stated the absence of knowledge. The structure of the recruitment process is you submit your CV. It stays with recruitment. This is good as this way, interviewers can be checked for the integrity of their job. I suggest all interviews must be recorded. The feedback provided was I have not answered nor asked any questions, didn’t build the system, and had difficulties explaining technology (ironically, something I work with daily and get paid for, have licensing, certifications, and customer feedback). In general, tech interviews are a pool of candidates applying to various positions; hence, whatever question you get, that’s it. It doesn’t matter what you clearly stated in the resume, your division of interests and experiences; you get what you get. You cannot ask questions regarding the team you want to be in those interviews as no one knows where you will end up. That’s risky for career control/goals/growth as it’s very unclear what’s actually on the offer, and going into whatever team is a confusing experience. There is no point in mediation as if they decide you have no industry experience based on randomised questions they ask unrelated to the resume submitted, they discredit it right in your face. It led me to think there was clearly a hunt for the most comfortable candidate that fits the bill criteria. It’s not about you, your fit, your knowledge, that teamwork (that is written all over the Atlassian website as material to prepare), or your demeanour. This puts a very strong smell or even confidence in getting into a toxic workplace due to lousy recruitment practices and the mismatch of the presented information online. If you are employed, think really, really carefully, and get the questions answered and trust your gut for the reason of not ending up in a disaster and a career setback.

I passed six levels of interviews without a problem, but in the end, they said they closed the position. The technical and values interviews were complete nonsense. Anyone can pass with proper preparation. Especially the management and values interviews. But I was really frustrated because they said they closed the role one day after I passed all the interviews. A company that interviews you about values has no respect for you at all. I spent time, effort, and hope on this.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

      - Screening standard pretty basic questions - Technical (coding) I and II interview is mid level leetcode question but they request an update after completing. They may cause a time problem. - System Design is mid level system design. But interviewer didn't understand the technologies I use a bit. - Management and Values interview corporate nonsense. Search or ask AI example questions and create stories if don't have. They are asking question like you have been encountered all types of dispute at previous jobs.

I am going to highlight some of my experiences below. I felt the interview process was designed to set one up to fail and a waste of my valuable time. Firstly pitting candidates through numerous coding tests under a tight time schedule is not the way to see through another human. While I conducted all the coding tests and completed the results successfully, I still did not pass through to the next round. During these tests, I was asked to hold the screen so that a screen capture could be taken. This was a red flag suggesting the interviewer was not following my thorough explanation of the solutions I was implementing. Especially that the language I was using was not known to them and more particularly that I was extremely careful to ensure I deliver each and every thought I was making deliberately. The process felt unprofessional and one way. I did not feel confident in the interviewer's skills especially with regards to communication and etiquette. Two other red flags I have is the lack of feedback the company can provide. If you can't provide genuine feedback to your candidates and are concerned of legal repercussions; then you must be hiding something! Also the fact that one has to perform another technical test with an external organization does not give me confidence in this organization. The recruiter initially presents a very bright picture of how good it is to work in this organization and are open to proper follow through however later this felt more like a carrot dangling tactic. After putting much effort to ensure successful delivery, I felt this was an unfair process despite trying to put my best human foot forward.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

Questions typically asked were along the lines of: "Find a list of X to fit Y items in provided some other condition." (I don't want to give away too much). This is typical to a leet code question at medium difficulty.
