I applied to Atlassian, and heard back from the recruiter within 48 hours scheduling time to speak with me. I had my first call with her a day or two later - and while I felt like I wasn't on my "a" game for that call, I did move forward and get to speak with the hiring manager, who was lovely. Within a day or so, I had a long conversation with the hiring manager about my experience and the opportunity. A few days later, I came onsite. Ahead of the onsite, the recruiter spent extensive time prepping me for that meeting (I wanted to make sure I was fully prepared).
The onsite was rigorous, but relevant. I spoke to key team members, was asked thoughtful questions, and had plenty of time to ask questions of my own.
The hiring manager and recruiter both followed up after my onsite, and I could tell they were personally invested in making sure I had a great experience (which I did).
I left my interview really wanting to work there, and when I got an offer, I turned down another opportunity with a larger (FANG) company to join the team. It continues to be the right decision!
