Initial Screening: After my application was shortlisted, I received a call from a recruiter for a preliminary screening. This conversation covered my background, experience, and interest in the role.
2. Phone Interviews:
First Phone Interview: This was with a recruiter or a member of the finance team. They asked questions about my resume, experience, and why I wanted to work at Amazon.
Second Phone Interview: This involved more technical questions related to finance, such as my understanding of financial statements, financial modeling, and analytical skills.
3. Assessment Test:
I was asked to complete an online assessment that tested my quantitative and analytical abilities. This included numerical reasoning, data interpretation, and basic math problems.

Behavioral Questions: Amazon places a strong emphasis on its Leadership Principles. I prepared to answer behavioral questions using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). For example, I described a time when I had to make a tough decision with limited information.
Technical Questions: These assessed my finance knowledge and problem-solving abilities. I answered questions about financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and possibly some case studies or business scenarios.
Role-Specific Questions: Depending on the team, I got questions specific to the business unit I was interviewing for. For example, if it was for AWS, I answered questions related to cloud computing economics.
