J'ai postulé en ligne. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Boston, MA) en oct. 2020
Entretien
They use the STAR method which isn't anything new and they do send you documents to help you prepare. That being said, the folks who were actually interviewing me were unprepared, mundane, and didn't even seem to know anything about the job or team. Not sure how that's relevant considering Amazon is a huge company with varying cultures depending on each team and pillar...I had several interviews and ended up calling it because it was so much time an effort I was putting in while getting very little out of the interview. Suggestion to Amazon is provide candidates with individuals who can speak to the basics of the role and responsibility, people with personality would be ideal...
You need to engage candidates as much as they need to wow you.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
"Tell me a time when..."
I had at least 10 questions in a row starting with this. Pretty awful.
Did a test task and was called by HR almost immediately for the next round. But salary range (full packet with stock and benefits) and return to office policy did nit much my expectations
very standard. the interviewers had a set of questions to ask about the LPs so we can anticipate beforehand. But I think I got ghosted in the end. One of the interviewers told me about the 2 & 5 rule but its been more than 2 weeks since my last interview and still no response from anyone so idk what happened.
Lengthy, messy schedule, interviews canceled last minute, interviewer late. Rude, disrespectful and dismissive approach toward candidate. Majority of people were from a different team so had no clue about the specifics of the position when asked in the final Q&A. If they treat you like this before joining, can’t imagine after. Application withdrawn.
