J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 mois. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Milan) en oct. 2020
Entretien
The first interview with a talent acquisition, the second one with technical expert and we talked about cloud, project management, etc.
The third one with 5 people with different background (financial, technical, etc.).
Before the interview I received information by talent acquisition about the process and the questions.
I decided to be myself but this decision didn't pay. They prefer that you answer their questions like they expect.
I don't like this type of interview because everything depends by the feeling between you and the interviewer.
If I think about the result of this process, I have the right technical skills but I am not compliant with Amazon principles.
J'ai postulé via la recommandation d'un employé. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Nashville, TN) en sept. 2024

After my interview with the recruiter, I studied the leadership principles in the Amazon interview process in great detail. I spent hours preparing to begin the AWS interview process. I had my phone interview, which seemed to go extremely well, and I was shocked and devastated when I received a rejection letter three days later. I asked what went wrong and was told they gave no feedback. I want to apply again at AWS, but I don't know what I need to do differently to make it through the interview process.

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Amazon (Boston, MA) en mai 2022

This was with AWS, part of Amazon. The interviewers were from the San Francisco office. They switched the interviewer without notifying me, which I found unusual. The originally scheduled interviewer was in the interview, but lurked creepily without contributing anything. They told me that the original interviewer was there to "shadow", which was an obvious lie given his industry experience.
The interviewer who did interview me had all the personality of a cardboard box, and asked only canned questions, including ones that were irrelevant. It was clear that neither of them had even glanced at my background.
It's also clear that this wasn't a real interview--it was interview practice for an inexperienced interviewer. I expected better from AWS, but then again I'm not surprised either.
