Entretien pour Human Resources Business Position

      Candidature

J'ai postulé via un recruteur. Le processus a pris 6 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez ADP (Parsippany, NJ) en juill. 2015

      Entretien

The process took at least 6 weeks and I had three different internal (2) and external (1) recruiter contacts. They accommodated me in terms of my work schedule for the phone interviews but the in-person interview was in the middle of the day so I had to take the day off. The in-person interview went very well in my opinion but was too short (1 hour). I felt they were honest which I appreciated. It was not behavioral but theory based - how do you handle stress, how would you get up and running, what are your strengths, etc. ADP HR sent me a candidate survey in the middle of the process but not at the end. I liked that. I gave positive reviews. After the in-person interview, I followed up 4 times with the recruiter over a 2 week period and she didn’t reply until she send a system generate rejection letter that initially went to spam. I thought given the long process, she would at minimum call me back. The in-person interview indicated that I was a final candidate and could receive an offer. After the Hiring manager and spoke 2 weeks after the in person (she offered I could call her any time, which was great), she said there was a change in the Business unit and she did not know if she could hire, but I was still being considered. The recruiter did not want to follow up with me on the phone when I asked to speak to clarification on how we might move forward, but emailed me to ask my questions via email. I really felt like I was bothering her. She never replied to this day. Professionally I have a lot of experience both on the candidate and internal (HR) side in hiring / recruiting and this process was really mixed. I am impressed with the staff and hiring manager who clearly are dedicated and love their jobs. The talent / recruiter part was disappointing. I really felt like I was bothering the recruiter. When I was assigned to the third recruiter, I actually also received a system rejection letter and was surprised to receive a Follow up from the 3rd recruiter that I was still a candidate in the pipeline and was invited in to interview in-person with the hiring manager. I would love to work at ADP – it is an excellent organization and to this day, I am not sure where I stand in the process. In summary, confusion about the process, inconsistent, lac of transparency but clearly employee love to work there and that kept me motivated to stay on top of the process – they have excellent benefits and opportunity to grow. I hope I will be considered for further positions.
