A recruiter from a chemistry contracting firm spoke with me 1-on-1. About a week later, I had an interview with a 3M manager who was typing on their computer the entire time and who looked at me maybe twice the entire time I was with them. It didn't seem like I was even being considered for the position at the interview; it would have been better to just show me the door from the start.
