We are looking for an experienced, organized, and client-focused Implementation Specialist & Project Manager to lead client onboarding, ERP/payment integrations, deployment coordination, and ongoing implementation projects.
Position Overview
The Implementation Specialist & Project Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of client implementations from kickoff through production deployment. This role combines project management, client relationship management, business analysis, and technical coordination.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with SaaS platforms, payment technologies, ERP integrations, or higher education systems and will be comfortable coordinating between clients, developers, banking partners, and internal operational teams.
This role requires strong communication skills, excellent organization, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end implementation projects for colleges and universities
- Manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, risks, and dependencies
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders throughout deployment
- Facilitate kickoff meetings, status calls, training sessions, and go-live activities
- Maintain project documentation and implementation tracking
- Ensure successful and timely delivery of client projects
Client Implementation & Onboarding
- Gather business and technical requirements from clients
- Assist institutions with onboarding workflows and deployment planning
- Configure platform settings, payment methods, workflows, and integrations
- Coordinate testing, UAT, and production migration activities
- Support ERP integration deployment with systems
Technical & Functional Coordination
- Act as liaison between clients and development/integration teams
- Coordinate API, SSO, payment gateway, and ERP integration activities
- Troubleshoot implementation and deployment issues
- Assist with process mapping and workflow optimization
- Work closely with payment processors and banking partners when required
Client Success & Support
- Provide implementation guidance and best practices
- Deliver administrator training and knowledge transfer
- Support post-go-live stabilization and hypercare activities
- Maintain strong client relationships throughout the implementation lifecycle
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in:
- Project management
- Software implementation
- SaaS onboarding
- ERP/payment systems
- Higher education technology
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working directly with clients and executive stakeholders
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, and project tracking tools
Preferred
- Experience with higher education ERP systems
- Experience with payment gateways or financial technology platforms
- Knowledge of APIs, SSO, and integration workflows
- Familiarity with Jira, Monday.com, Asana, ClickUp, or similar tools
- PMP certification or related project management training
- Experience in payments, fintech, or international payments
