Avantages

Experienced leadership. Compensation is decent. Interesting niche clientele.

Inconvénients

A small bank with the overhead of a large bank due to the relationship with the parent. Expect long hours and a what are you doing for me tomorrow attitude. Advancement is difficult as external candidates seem to be preferred to internal candidates. Little time for development opertunities due to the heavy regular work load. At no other company have I seen office politics as cut throat as RBC.

Avantages

Stable work life balance. The culture is really great, very easy to work with complex management and managers. Willing to help you grow and learn with clients

Inconvénients

Not a lot of room for growth unless you come in the door with that expectation. It can be very easy to get stuck in this role as your pay slowly increases and the job title mostly stays the same. Associate promotions and raises are rarely given and take a lot of coercion to get.
