New peaks 🏔️ We recently celebrated the naming ceremony of our newest 15,000 TEUs #LNG-powered vessels - ZIM Fuji, ZIM Kilimanjaro, and ZIM Olympus. Inspired by three of the world's majestic mountain peaks, these vessels will pioneer our Asia to US East Coast route. We're elated to be the first liner introducing LNG-powered vessels on this #trade route, paving the way for our customers to opt for greener #shipping and reduce their #carbonfootprint. While our current LNG fleet symbolizes our commitment to harnessing the most environmentally friendly technology available today, it is also a pivotal moment on our path to net-zero emissions. The 17th China International Logistics Fair (CILF) was a mountain of success, bringing together 200+ exhibitors and 242,000+ attendees from 40 different countries. Our ZIM Café booth was a standout peak that drew attention like a magnet, sparking conversations and connections throughout the three-day event. We also had the privilege of hosting a dynamic discussion panel, where over 100 esteemed customers and industry experts joined us as we explored diverse topics such as South China's evolving economic landscape, innovations in new energy sectors, and the growing importance of sustainability in shipping, showcasing our agility and can-do approach. Welcome ZIM Danube and ZIM Ganges! In late August, we celebrated the naming ceremony of two new vessels joining our fleet: ZIM Danube and ZIM Ganges. They are the first of a series of six 5,500 TEU state-of-the-art, highly efficient vessels built in HJSC shipyards in Korea. Each vessel is 255 meters long and 37.3 meters wide, boasting a wide beam that makes them exceptionally stable and capable of handling heavier loads. Additionally, they are equipped with 850 reefer plugs to cater to our customers' needs. The Godmothers for these vessels were Natasha Griffin, ZIM UK country manager (ZIM Danube), and Frederice Baack, the wife of Mr. Constantin Baack, MPC Capital CEO (ZIM Ganges). Representing ZIM, Efim Ledvich, ZIM Chartering Division Manager, took part in the ceremony.
