We had the opportunity to train a group of people from the Santa Rita community, with the same Emergency Brigade training that our employees receive annually. In this way, we extend our Serious About Safety value beyond our internal environment, forming a team of Brigade members in our surroundings ⛑️ We believe in the power of education and that together we grow through the development of our people and culture. We delved deeper to learn about the various layers of social vulnerability faced daily by the communities around us and, from now on, this team is prepared to quickly mitigate and support cases of emergencies or initial fire outbreaks, until a specialized government service arrives on site. In celebration of Children's Month in Brazil, our employees held an event in partnership with the Urban Mission Institute this Saturday, October 21, for children from the Santa Rita community, located in the vicinity of our unit in Osasco, São Paulo. With more than 20 volunteer collaborators from different areas, sectors, units and functions, with their volunteer companions, we promote a day of fun with face painting, education, food, circus activities, emotional support and, most importantly, welcome for about 500 children. On this day, we also carried out a health diagnosis focused on 4 pillars: Dental, Women, LGBT+ and emotional with the aim of comprehensively and assertively expanding our support for these families and, in this way, fulfilling our purpose of helping to keep our communities healthy, fed, clean and safe 🧡 #CommunityBonds #WherePeopleMatter
Univar Solutions hosted our fourth annual charity golf outing in The Woodlands, Texas, this week supporting the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Chicago 💙 Our golfers raised more than $140,000 in support of this important mission. 1 in 7 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Since our inaugural event in 2019, Univar Solutions has helped raise nearly ¾ of a million dollars for the PCFC in an effort to minimize this disease.
