🐶 We had some new employees participate in our hybrid working policy… Bring Your Dog to Work Day turned into a week for us across TC Group! Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge completed. ✅ With over 30 participants across 10 offices, our team challenged themselves to take part in the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on Saturday 30 May. The challenge included a 24 mile (38.6km) round-trip hiking route and a 1585m (5200ft) ascent taking you over the spectacular peaks of Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres) and Ingleborough (723 metres). ⛰️ Most of them had trained, whilst others braved the challenge through confidence alone... With over 5.8 million unpaid carers in the UK, we wanted to take the time to celebrate Carers Week. 🧡 Whether it’s a parent, partner, child, sibling, wider family member, or even a friend, unpaid carers face many challenges – especially if still working full time. This year’s theme is ‘Caring About Equality’. Unpaid carers face a higher risk of poverty, social isolation, as well as poorer mental and physical health, and this greatly impacts women in particular with them making up for around 80% of unpaid carers (sources below). Sometimes this means people’s personal lives, education, or even career is impacted. 3 out of 5 people in the UK will become carers at some point in their lives, which’s why it’s important to have a support system around you. Not everyone feels comfortable disclosing personal circumstances to line managers and colleagues, and if you’re one of those people, we’ve provided support resources below. We’d like to take this opportunity to recognise the contributions and personal sacrifices made to ensure they look after their loved ones. So to all employees across TC Group, you’re valued and respected for all that you do.

What happens when you have surplus laptops and two businesses wanting to help their local community? You give children better opportunities to excel in their education. 🧡 As part of their ‘Caring through Tech’ Employee Board project, our Leicester, Northampton, Milton Keynes, and Southampton offices provided laptops to business owner – Jonathan Babb of ‘IT Magic’ in Rothwell – to distribute to families and schoolchildren across North Northamptonshire. Jonathan himself is renowned as quite the community champion, by donating laptops to local individuals through Facebook giveaways to tackle digital exclusion – something many of us take for granted. Once updated and made compatible with school software, the laptops were distributed across Pathfinder Schools, a multi-academy trust of 10 schools. 💻 “Getting the devices into the hands of the schools means they’ll go directly to students who need them most,” said Jonathan. “We’re not just giving away laptops — we’re giving children a better shot at keeping up with their education and development needs, especially as the cost of living continues to hit families hard.” Both teams haven’t just helped children through this initiative. It also supports the environment by giving valuable technology a second life, avoiding waste, and keeping it out of landfill. A brilliant example of their ‘caring’ and ‘valuable’ values in action.
