On September 30th we observed the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. Symcor is proud to partner with the Orange Shirt Society, a non-profit dedicated to Indigenous Residential School Reconciliation, to provide orange shirts to Symcor employees. We wear orange shirts to pay tribute to the children who never returned home, express our solidarity with survivors of residential schools and affirm our commitment to reconciliation.
Even the rain could not deter Symcor employees from "Connecting for Common Good" during our annual tree-planting event at the Toronto Zoo! As a proud partner of the Toronto Zoo and Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy for over 10 years, our organization has actively participated in the Acres for the Atmosphere and Meadows for Monarchs initiatives. This year, Symcor employees, along with our friends and families, planted 1,100 trees and pollinator-friendly plants to support these much-needed projects. Big thank you to the dedicated Symcor employees who participate in this annual event! To learn more about Symcor's community initiatives, please visit our website https://lnkd.in/ebvw2ig
Thank you to Symcor’s Women in Leadership group for hosting a fabulous International Women’s Day event last week. Symcor employees connected over breakfast while listening to guest speaker, Keka DasGupta, discuss how best to bring out and embrace the leader in all of us. It was an inspirational event, filled with Symcor Stories of women who have positively impacted the lives of our employees.
This Pink Shirt Day, we welcome you to join Symcor in promoting kindness and inclusion in our communities by wearing pink to take a stand against bullying. Today and every day, Symcor is committed to working together to create a more welcoming and respectful world. To learn more about Pink Shirt Day, please visit https://lnkd.in/dw7szeu
Wishing you a very Happy Valentine’s Day from our Symcor Employees (and their furry friends)! #HappyValentines #ConnectingForCommonGood
At Symcor, we believe our North Star, #ConnectingForCommonGood, applies to many aspects of our business. At this year’s in-person Town Hall, employees had the opportunity to connect with their inner selves through wellness activities, connect with fellow staff members who they might not have seen in years and connect with outside organizations to understand the impact Symcor has within the community. Here’s to a great start to 2023 and a year of being Bigger, Bolder and Brighter! Learn more about us, https://www.symcor.ca/
Team Symcor participated in The Weekend To Conquer Cancer virtual walk, collectively taking over 80,000 steps to raise funds for vital cancer research at the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation. Even though we are distanced, we’re in this together to continue supporting the well-being of our communities.
