Life-saving screenings, delivered on wheels. 🚐💗 We're hiring Mammography Technologists to staff our Mobile Mammography units, bringing life-saving breast cancer screenings directly to communities across Virginia. In this role, you’ll perform screening and diagnostic mammography and bone densitometry imaging studies, support patients through every step of their exam, and help ensure high-quality imaging and compassionate care on the road.

Gun violence leaves lasting scars on individuals, families, and communities — but this year, we have hopeful progress to share. At Sentara Norfolk General Hospital (Norfolk, VA) Level I trauma center, gunshot wound cases have dropped for three consecutive years: from 525 in 2022 to 275 in 2024. Still, the work continues. We joined forces with Children's Hospital of The King's Daughters and Eastern Virginia Medical School to #WearOrange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day — honoring survivors, remembering those lost, and recommitting to prevention. Programs like Foresight and Safer Futures, and new legislation like Delegate Nadarius Clarke’s ‘Stop the Bleed’ initiative, are helping turn the tide, but we know it’s a long road ahead.
