Good news! Our ambitious net zero targets have been validated by the by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). We’re the first national road network operator in the world to achieve this accreditation. The news comes as we launch National Highways’ third Carbon Week. Over the next five days we’ll be highlighting how we’re achieving our net zero targets using innovative materials, equipment and ways of working. #NHCarbonWeek

To kick off #NHNatureWeek, we want to highlight that we're on course to achieve our 2020 commitment of halting the decline of biodiversity across our activities by 2025. In the next 5 years, we plan to deliver at least a 10 per cent net gain in biodiversity on our major enhancement projects delivered between 2025 and 2030.
