It’s Suicide Prevention Month and Construction Suicide Prevention Week—a time to shed light on an issue that deeply impacts the construction industry and the world. Suicide rates in construction are significantly higher than the national average, and it’s critical to break the silence and start the conversation. This week, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Long Island Executive Director, Ann Morrison-Pacella, hosted a powerful presentation titled “Construction Talk Saves Lives”. The session focused on bringing awareness to the crisis, spreading knowledge on how to recognize the signs, and showing how each of us can be a resource for someone who may be struggling.
All August long, our offices hosted the second annual Sweet Swap! 🍪 Team members showed off their baking skills, shared their favorite recipes, and indulged in plenty of sweet treats before casting their votes. It was a day filled with good food, laughter, and sugar highs. Congratulations to this year’s winners!
Our offices concluded the summer on a high note! The Parsippany team recently came together on a beautiful day at the end of August to enjoy an Ice Cream Social—celebrating the season with delicious frozen treats, laughter, and connecting with peers.

Throughout August, our Young Professionals Employee Resource Group rallied together to collect school supply donations for Stuff-A-Bus! Thanks to our H2Mer's generosity, the collection box was overflowing with notebooks, pencils, folders, art supplies, and so much more. All donations were proudly delivered to United Way of Long Island, helping local students start the school year set up for success!
