We’re thrilled to be named one of Beauhurst’s Top 10 Artificial Intelligence Companies in the UK – coming in 4th! 🌟 🏥💻 AI is a powerful tool, but it’s only as valuable as the outcomes it delivers. At Cera, we’re striving to use it to help people stay well at home, reducing avoidable hospital visits, and supporting our health and social care system to work more efficiently. We’re celebrating Earth Day by sharing just some of the initiatives that are driving a sustainable model of care for the future.⠀ ⠀ Our carbon reduction plan aims to reduce overall emissions by 10% each year, projecting a 41% reduction by 2029/30 and achieving Net Zero by 2050.⠀ ⠀ The plan includes specific actions for reducing Scope 1 and 2 emissions, focusing on premises 🏢 (energy management, behaviour change, policies, smart heating) and 🚗transport (transport policy, data collection, telematics, engine tuning, EV salary sacrifice).⠀ ⠀ Cera also plans to work with suppliers and stakeholders to assess and reduce Scope 3 emissions.⠀

💼 A £1 Billion Commitment to Get Britain Working Again 💼 In the recent Spring Statement, the UK Government announced a £1 billion investment to help millions rejoin the workforce — a vital step, with 9.2 million adults currently economically inactive and 1 in 8 young people not in employment, education or training. At Cera, we know the barriers people face when returning to work. Through our Back to Work initiatives, we’ve supported thousands in restarting their careers — often after years away from employment. With the right training, support and encouragement, we’ve seen people rebuild their confidence, regain financial independence, and discover meaningful careers in care. 🚀💪 One of those individuals is inspirational double amputee Mark Allen, who is thriving as a carer at Cera after 20 years unemployed. In this BBC interview, Mark shares his incredible journey back into work and the impact it’s had on his life. “My whole life seems to be getting better.” We’re proud to play a part in building a stronger, more inclusive workforce — and helping deliver the care our communities need. 💜
As we leave the month of March behind, we're reflecting on International Women's Day, Women's History Month and of course, Mother's Day. Balancing a career and family can be challenging for women in particular. Here's our Chief Care Officer Charlotte Donald and her daughter Chiara discussing the impact of being a working mum.
