Today is recognized as World Hand Hygiene Day, a day to bring attention to the importance of practicing good hygiene. At CarePartners, we understand personal hygiene is something everyone is accountable for, and with how active we are with our hands, it is essential to understand the risks of germs, bacteria, and infection. Practice good hand hygiene by washing hands frequently, using hand sanitizer, and sanitizing wipes to cover any often engaged surfaces or items. Take a break, have a good stretch, and always remember to keep clean.
This year has been a challenging one, especially for those of use working in health care. Now more than ever, it's important to support one another. This week is #MentalHealthWeek in Canada, and this year's theme of empathy resonates so strongly with us: When we understand each other, hate and fear just fall away. This is empathy. Empathy is something you can learn. It’s a skill. It’s also something that can help. There is no us and them. There is only us and we’re in this together. This is empathy. We live in a busy world where our time is consumed with work, social, family and personal commitments and it can seem increasingly difficult to make sure we are caring for ourselves. Have you checked in with yourself and your family lately? Or maybe you have and now you need resources, but don't know where to get started. This week is Mental Health Week in Canada and we’re going to be sharing resources for improving mental health – for you, your family, and when looking out for others - all week
