Le 12 mai est la Journée internationale des infirmières. Aujourd’hui, nous célébrons le dévouement, la compassion et l’impact salvateur des infirmières à travers le monde. Le thème de cette année souligne une vérité simple : lorsque les infirmières sont habilitées, des vies sont sauvées.
Le thème de cette année, « Le pouvoir des infirmières pour transformer la santé », souligne le rôle essentiel des infirmières qui forger la façon des soins de santé, l’innovation, et défendre des soins centrés autour de les patients. Merci à toutes les infirmières et tous les infirmiers pour leur direction, leur compassion et le dévouement qu’ils apportent à leurs communautés aujourd’hui et chaque jour.
Aujourd’hui est la Journée nationale de la santé mentale des enfants et des jeunes. Parfois, les plus petits moments comme écouter, se présenter ou simplement dire « je tiens à toi » peuvent faire la plus grande différence. Continuons à créer des espaces où les enfants et les jeunes se sentent soutenus, valorisés et non seuls.

Our administrative staff form a vital part of the CarePartners team, working hard each day across Ontario in roles of branch administration, coordination, and shared services. They constantly search for ways to improve the experiences of frontline staff, patients, and patient families - and we are proud to work side-by-side with this incredible group. Their skills are numerous, but we think it’s especially worth highlighting the patience, dedication, organization, and problem-solving this team commits to undertaking every day. If you are following along while our volunteer team spends time in the underserviced areas in Guatemala, you would know that they have treated approximately 645 people so far in three clinics (145, 200, 300). Read our blog as it chronicles the journey, the conditions, the unique health care concerns of the area, and how they earned the trust of the villagers. In addition to assessing for tooth decay, diabetes, hypertension, and stomach issues, our volunteers are also making home visits and providing occupational therapy support. Thanks to the generous donations we received, we've been able to hand out numerous toothbrushes, toothpaste, vitamins, medicine, wheelchairs, walkers, nursing paraphernalia, toys, school bags, etc., which was very well received by families without good access to health care. This is truly a life-changing experience for our fearless volunteers, but also for the recipients of our care in these often overlooked rural, isolated locations.
