Today marks Women's Equality Day, commemorating the 1920 passage of the 19th amendment granting women the right to vote. It was a pivotal moment in American history, and today serves as a fitting opportunity to share Benchmark's new EmpowHER Book Club. While this club is centered on women in leadership and female empowerment, we invite all associates, of any gender identity, in any position, to participate with the first book, "How Women Rise" by Sally Helgesen. We see this as an incredible opportunity for professional development and human connection, and we look forward to you reading along with us!

Congratulations to Anna Bilodeau, Resident Care Director at Benchmark Senior Living at Leominster Crossings, for being awarded the 2024 Massachusetts Assisted Living Association's (Mass-ALA) Employee Leadership Award. This Mass-ALA award recognizes a department manager who exemplifies leadership through team building and strong communication skills. This person provides excellent care above and beyond the call of duty and truly exemplifies the ideal of assisted living by treating all residents with dignity and respect, providing privacy, fostering an atmosphere of inclusion, and encouraging independence and freedom of choice.
