When you apply to Zara you're actually will be applying to Inditex which is like the company which owns Zara and other stores like Berska and Pull&bear. So if you apply to a store in London or the surrounding area you will most likely be invited to a selection process in their head office in Regents street, London if you are successful.
At the selection process you have to fill out another application and and then will sit room with about 25 other people. There is a presentation mainly about Inditex and the person conducting the presentation will ask you if you know any information like the history or current facts about Inditex. So if you want to stand out read up beforehand and answer those questions. After the presentation and discussion they'll be a quick 1:1 mostly regarding why you want to work for Zara and your availability. They will contact you within 2 weeks to let you know if you're successful.
If successful, you'll be invited to a store interview, which is at the store you applied to. At this interview its another generic retail interview so why do you want to work us? What will you bring to the team? etc. Although there were some question fashion based so questions like what is your favourite current fashion trend? and how do you keep up with the latest trends? So make sure you are interested in fashion or at least read up on the current trends this season. I was then told I would be contacted the next day by Inditex about my successfulness.
I was contacted the next day by Inditex stating I was successful and they would like to offer me the position, and on that brief phone call I was told the rate of pay and that I would need to come the Friday again to the Head office in Regents Street to sign a contract.
At the contract signing there was a number of other successful applicants at varying stores, and it wasn't just signing a contract it included a 2 hour induction. So we just went over the contract details and how basic pay, commission and over time will work --> everything you need to know will be in your contract.
Overall the interview process wasn't difficult at all, I barely spoke at the selection process and still got the job. Just be yourself and don't be nervous, the atmosphere throughout the process was very relaxed and the recruiters are very nice. The only downside myself is the travelling to centre London for the selection process and induction was an effort.
Good Luck future applicants!
Group Interview. About 10minutes for 8-10 candidates. They asked about past experience and about if you are interested in fashion and what you know about the brand. They let everyone talk for about 5 minutes.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
They asked about past experience and interest in fashion.

It was a group interview and I started off introducing the person next to me then I had to do a few multiple choice questions then it was team work activities.
Easy and casual interviews. I had an interview and it was super easy and I was asked simple questions like tell me about yourself or tell me about your past experience
