Applied online, received an interview request within a week via e-mail & phone. The screening interview went quickly, doublechecking experience and skills, and then I was told I'd be passed forward in the process. The next day, I received an e-mail saying I was no longer under consideration for the position. About a week later I received a call offering me the job pending a background check and final application. I accepted. Then about twenty minutes later the recruiter called me and said she had called the wrong person, I was not being offered the job. Inexcusable.

I had to go through three interviews to eventually be presented with an offer. While the first interview was an open discussion with the General Manager at the time (and wasn't all that relevant), the second was a 2-hour written test, followed by another discussion-based interview: this time with my current managers from the New York office. Interviews in general are very thorough and the company is very picky, but that's mostly because once you're in, it is highly unlikely that you'll get fired.
