J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 4 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Walmart (East Dundee, IL)
Entretien
I submitted my application online via Walmart.com. It took about 3 weeks to get a call for an interview. But that was just because my position wasn't available until the end of the month. I had 3 interviews total. 1st being with the hiring manager about availability, and if not I was "Walmart" enough. Then I talked to the assistant manager (who was not there at the time she said to be there. Then I was put to blame for me getting the wrong time. When the manager left for a doctors appointment). Then I finally talked to the assistant manager, and was hired on the spot. The questions where very basic.
Questions (Some)
-Why do you want to work at Walmart?
-What motivates you?
-What would you do in this situation?
-Tell me about a difficult person you have to deal with.
After that I talked to the Store manager, could not negotiate the pay. Since I was working for the Electronics department I was getting the 3rd highest pay under Managers. ($8.86)
Background/Drug Test
I had to submit to a background check, and drug test. Walmart follows the lega amount. So if you smoke weed, or do any type of drugs stop! Spice, fake weed, bath salts, booze all shows up. They even test what OTC you use. Also if you live in an Area where medical marijuana is sold. You can't use you card/papers to make you drug use OK. They see that as personal use, and won't allow it. If you fail the drug Test you can't apply for 1 year.
I passed everything, and I was hired.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
I was Electronics. Electronics is the heart of Walmart. You work the cash register. help customers find products. Activate phones (Non-Commissioned), clean, stock, bin, and pretty much anything they ask you too. One minute your selling a game, next your cleaning up afterbirth on the floor.
There was a lot of questions but overall it went pretty decent. They were your standard interview questions. I am happy with the outcome but maybe I could do better next time.
The interview was brief but straight forward. I interviewed with someone and was done within 15 minutes. They asked a few questions about myself and past job experience. Then I progressed to the next steps in the hiring process. The next steps where orientation.
Solid and very well informative process. It was straightforward and well put together. I really enjoyed the people that I interacted with and ultimately chose another route due to time constraints.
