I applied online completing the application process which consisted of a series of question. This did take quite a while so don''t leave it till last minute.
A week later, I received an email inviting me to select a session for a group interview.
I arrived around 15 minutes early and later found out the other applicants hadn't turned up so it was just me. I was given a case study and a list of tasks which I had to prioritise. They gave me 20 mins to write down my answers and then I discussed them with my interviewer.
The next part of the interview they asked about my background and previous positions. The explained the job role and the current positions available. There was actually only 2 positions available working in the store room and unpacking the lorries. I was hoping to be on the tills/ on the shop floor so from then on, I realised this wasn't for me. They also went on to ask my availability.
The interviewer explained that if this position wasn't for me and they would put me on there system incase anything else more suited came available.
It was a little disappointing as I had spent around 1hr30 applying online and then 2 hours of my time attending the interview to find out the role was not as it seems.
Thank you for your review. I am sorry that you found the process unsatisfactory. There is limited detail about the specific role you applied for to review this further. If you would like to add this detail please email resourcing.socialmedia@partnershipservices.co.uk and we can look into this further.

I applied for a Supermarket Assistant vacancy for all SW London stores (If your applying for a London specific vacancy, please ensure you apply ASAP, they only keep the vacancies for London open for 24 hours max), an early application, is always the best application) I am very happy that I have been given an offer! This was honestly one of the best interview/application processes I've been through, everything went smoothly, and on a timely manner. I applied for the role a week ago, and the next day received an email to say I have been invited for an Interview. You then schedule yourself in for an Interview. Literally 2 days after the Interview, I was called and told I have passed the Interview, and they would offer me a vacancy. My best advice would be to research Waitrose' core values and behaviours, and also research company trends. I have put the questions below. Towards the end of the interview, they'll confirm your right to work, your availability, and your preferred locations.

Good process, nice People and not too difficult. Able to pass interviews as many times as needed.
The same as other supermarket jobs, not much more to say to be honest
