Entretien
First, you need to fill out the application form on their website filling in information from your CV. You will be automatically invited for an interview if you qualify, so it is important you are using the correct buzz words in your application. (teach, teaching, children, English, ESL) Once you sign up for an interview slot, you will have an interview where the interviewer will confirm the information from your application form, then you will do a quick short demo class with the interviewer pretending to be a young Chinese child. You will have been provided the information to prepare for this before the class - it is important that you prepare and time yourself in advance, as well as that you apply any feedback that the interviewer gives you to the second half of the demo class. After this, the interviewer will let you know what your base salary would be, and if you are successful, you will be invited to a mock class. These are like full-length demo classes, where you will prepare and teach a class to another Native English teacher as if they are a Chinese child. Again, half way through the lesson, they will stop you, provide feedback, and to be successful, you MUST apply this feedback in the second half. Most people will have to then complete a second mock class before being offered a contract with VIPKID.
