If your resume and application is accepted, you are invited to an interview that includes a 10-minute mock lesson in which the interviewer pretends to be a 5-year-old kid. It sounds a little silly, but it would behoove you to prepare well for this and do a good job on it, as this determines your base pay! You are given the slides before the interview to know what to expect: it's a good idea to practice time and spacing, have some props, a blank background and and orange shirt if you have one, a whiteboard, and reduce incidental language. If you "pass" the interview, they will send you an e-mail fairly quickly inviting you to do the training. Training is a bit involved and requires you to watch a lot of training videos, but can all be gotten through in about 6 hours. After the training, you schedule your first practicum, which is a full-length sample class (slides provided and given ahead of time). If you do well, then you become a VIP teacher; if the VIP rep thinks you still need to improve on some things and isn't convinced you've taken his or her tips to heart (they are given half-way through the mock lesson), then you'll be directed to do a second practicum. I only did one, but I've heard that most people do two. Once that's done, you fill out your profile information (along with all the other normal employment-type forms), put in your availability, and voila!
