I sent the first online application where they ask for basic information, resume, and experience. Heard from them very quickly about setting a 30-min interview which included 15 mins of questions and a 10 minute demo class. The interview was through their portal and they provided the teaching slides. Comments: I was interviewed by a Chinesse young woman in what appeared to be her dorm (lots of people behind her), it was very difficult to understand her accent and she wasn't very professional. She only asked me the following question "please telll me about your previous experience" and then went to describe the job responsibilities. The demo class was fun since I love teaching. However they are VERY VERY VERY strict about the time. In the contract is says between 25-28 minutes but that is a LIE. If you pass the 25 minute mark then they will give you a LOW score which then means you will get a low starting pay. I was informed that I passed my demo class so then I needed to start the training materials following the TWO practicum sessions which turned out to be only one. The training videos are HORRIBLE and contradictory to all pedagogical methods. All the videos are monotone and repeat themselves a lot. It was horrible watching them but I did because I wanted to learn how they taught the classes. I was then prompted to the practicum and was told I came prepare and did an amazing job. By night I received an email that my contract was cancelled because I did not pass the practicum. VERY CONFUSING because how can they cancel my contract if I did not finish the TWO practicum session? The contract once again said TWO practicum session. They did not even send me my first practicum evaluation. Summary: It looks like a great job from the outside but once you start the long interview process it is actually a controlling job that are looking for teachers as machines. This is coming from a teacher with 3 years experience (2 in the USA 1 abroad) with a Master in TESOL.

Got hired as a British speaking then cancelled as not from America which I disclosed at the first interview which I think was silly and unprofessional at the time it was during covid when this happpened.
