J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 3 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez Uptake (Chicago, IL) en mars 2019
Entretien
Phone call with hiring manager, take home exercise, half-day on-site interview. I enjoyed the take home exercise and thought it was well thought out. The interview with the team was engaging and enjoyable. I thought it was a little odd when the hiring manager told me at the end of the interview that he was leaving the company. The hiring manager at the time was only there for around a year, which also set off a red flag to me.
I heard back from Uptake in a few days that they wanted to extend an offer and that they would need some time to prepare a formal offer, which was fine for me. I informed them that I had another offer and that it would be nice if they could expedite the process, which they agreed to. After the first week they said that their issue was that their HR rep was on vacation. After the second week they said they needed to get approval at a specific meeting with upper management the following week. After three weeks of delays and further inquiry, I could not determine if they were completely serious about extending an offer. It seems they were not ready to hire for the position I was getting interviewed for.
All in all I would have appreciated transparency sooner. The actual interview process was handled well, but the way HR and management handled extending an offer felt disorganized and inconsiderate.
