    Avantages

    If nothing else Uptake has one of the best offices to work in that I've ever experienced. There's a lot of free snacks and drinks. A lot of teams have a 'bar desk' with alcohol and the second floor cafe is a great place to get away from everyone and work. Unlimited vacation is actually unlimited. Six weeks of PTO is not unheard of.

    There are teams at Uptake that are accomplishing a lot, and if you're on one of them then the hard work you do will be valued.

    Inconvénients

    Leadership at the company in the last 1.5 years has wasted the potential that Uptake had. Through a series of poorly executed re-orgs leadership has driven away much of the amazing talent who believed in the Uptake vision. Employee confidence in leadership is almost nonexistent. Layoffs are done with little understanding of their impact on project teams. Hard work, specialized knowledge and experience do not equal any type of security.

    Conseils à la direction

    Most Uptakers have little respect or faith in the executive leadership team anymore. The CEO's weekly Sunday Thoughts portray him as being completely out of touch with what the rank and file are experiencing. The story most employees have is that the Brad and most of his executives care more about appearing on TV than working hard to understand what Uptake needs to be successful. Team all-hands are disorganized and often feature a leader rambling on trying to inspire the team but rarely making a point.

    For the past few months I have been trying to limit my team's exposure to leadership so they can focus on work instead of worry about their future.

    Entretien

    I applied online and got a call from the recruiting team and was set up for initial telephone round with Manager where he went through the resume and asked my couple of behavioral questions. LIke where do you see your self in 5 years and so most of the questions were from my Resume.
