I came across a job posting for Lewin Group through a University career posting. I immediately sent a resume and cover letter to the recruiter and was contacted the next day for a follow-up interview. The recruiter called and asked a very basic series of questions about my background, my skillset and my education. The interview was behavioral in nature and mostly an oppurtunity to elucidate whether I was qualified for the position. Everything proceeded smoothly and the interviewer told me at the end of the 30 minute phone interview that I would be put into their system and moving on to the second round. She asked me to send her my graduate transcripts as well as a writing sample and then indicated that the company would in touch with me soon after I had doen that. Two months and 4 follow-up emails later I have heard absolutely nothing about my candidacy. At this point I think it is safe to assume that I will not hear anything back positive or negative. Extremely unprofessional, not to mention that all of my emails were ignored. I actually once called UnitedHealth Group, the parent company of Lewin, and asked to be conencted with Lewin's HR Department. He told me that Lewin did not have an HR Department, and that they actually only have one real recruiter. He gave me the person's name and phone number and it turned out to be the same name and number of the person I had interviewed with. Weird to say the least.
