Recently, United opened up two Flight Attendant positions (Bilingual and Non Bilingual). Since I'm bilingual and also based on what my friend suggested, who is a Flight Attendant with United, I applied to both positions.
I submitted my resume and application online on 4/14/18. On 4/16/18, I received my VI request for the Bilingual position. The email said I have three days to complete. Except I had a cross country train to catch on 4/18/18. I could have done more research and prepared for the answers better based on the tips listed here, but I was nervous due to timing. In the end, I felt I stumbled a lot and didn't do so well on the VI. But I completed the VI on 4/17/18.
Later that evening, after I submitted the VI for the Bilingual position, I got an email saying that I need to complete another VI, but this time was for the Non Bilingual position. I chatted with support and they said in order to be considered for both positions, I need to complete the second VI as well.
Having completed the first one, I was less nervous and able to practice more with my thoughts. I felt I did much better on the second VI for the Non Bilingual compared to the first one. I completed the second VI on 4/18/18 before getting on my train! As I'm writing this, I'm on a train going from NYC to Seattle. Currently passing Montana.
I'm just wondering which video will they use... Or how the process works for people who qualify and applied to both positions. I have not yet heard about any updates. Will United inform you regardless of the decision? Anyone knows?
Hopefully I did well enough to get invited for F2F. I'll post more updates once I have them.
