J'ai postulé en ligne. Le processus a pris 2 semaines. J'ai passé un entretien chez United Airlines (Houston, TX) en mars 2015

      Entretien

I applied online March 2nd and on March 6th received an invitation email for the group information session and interview. It took numerous times of calling over two days to get through to set up the interview date which was March 17th. In general the session and interview questions asked are as stated in previous posts; however, I was rather surprised how short and informal the process is compared to other airlines. Initially the recruiters take your resume and give you a name tag then you wait with others for the session to begin. They play a video about being a flight attendant, a recruiter reads the details of the flight attendant job, about being on reserve, the pay, guarantee hours, per diem pay, being based in SFO or other United F/A bases and again emphasizing being based in SFO. This recruiter is followed by another who stated that those selected for training and who successfully completing training will be based at SFO and working under the Continental subsidiary union contract until a combined contract agreement is reached. He followed this with a Q&A session while we waited for our names to be called for our 1 on 1's. The 1 on 1 interviews were in another conference room were there were tables spread through out. Even though you are sitting with one recruiter who is interviewing you everyone is in the room together. This 1 on 1 process lasted no longer than 20 minutes and when complete the recruiter said to watch for an email. The TBNT email arrived 4 business days later. My notes, advice and observances: I heard a lot of people complaining about having to live in SFO and United not paying for them to move there. That is not the nature of the airline industry to pay for flight attendants to move to a base or subsidize their living expenses. That is why flight attendants in cities like NYC and SFO live with sometime 10 roommates. When on reserve with United you are on it every month until you gain enough seniority to hold a line. Some other airlines have a reserve rotation even as a junior flight attendant. When on reserve you will not be able to pick up extra trips even on your days off to gain extra hours and money. You have four set days off a month and the remaining days off are movable days. Where those days are moved is determined by crew schedule based on operational needs. This also will make make it difficult to have a second job to supplement your income. The pay is not a lot for reserves so if you are not willing to sacrifice the expenses of moving, eating cheap and living like your in a college dorm for the first few years then reconsider applying and let others have the opportunity. If you do get an interview do your research on the position of being a flight attendant and research how to dress appropriately for an interview. You're not going to get hired if you show up and you are not wearing a suit or you are wearing tennis shoes. Recruiters want to see interviewees that look the part for which they are applying. That include hairstyles. Best of luck to all the future candidates.

First, you have to apply it and submit your application on United website when the flight attendant opposition is opening. Then, you will get an assessment, kinda like a personality test. Second, you will be invited to a virtual interview. basically, you need to answer 8 questions and record your answers. You have 3 attempts to record it.
