This job required that I take the ASVAB and DLAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery and Defense Language Aptitude Battery respectively.) The ASVAB score required should be above a 88th percentile or a 110 coverted scored (at the time I took the test 7 years ago.) The DLAB is an abstract test that measures your ability to learn quickly. There is no way to study for this test. Having a good memory will help. You will need at least a 95 to get lower difficulty languages offered to you and a 105 for the languages at the higher end such as Arabic, Chinese and Korean. You will have both administered with a very lengthy health examination at your regional MEPS.
Questions d'entretien [1]
Question 1
When speaking with an Army recruiter specifically, tell them you have an interest in learning a second language and they should know which jobs to check for in availability. Unless you are National Guard or Reserve you will not be able to select your language.
