I interviewed with Two Sigma in November 2011. A recruiter contacted me and informed me that he was impressed with my profile and that I would be a good fit for Two Sigma. He informed me that the interview process consisted of one coding test that would be sent to the candidate over email. Once the candidate returns the test, it would be graded and the candidate would be informed of the result. If the candidate clears the coding test, then he/she would be called to interview with the team face to face. The first time I scheduled my coding test, the test email did not come as the HR had mismanaged the scheduler job that sends the test. The next time I scheduled it, it came on time and I finished it and turned it in on time. After that I have not heard back from the company or the recruiter. Prior to taking the test, the recruiter would call me often to persuade me to take the test even though I was not actively looking for a job. However, after the test, there was no sign of the recruiter or anyone from the company to inform me that I did not clear the test. Even an automated email would have sufficed. I am disappointed with the lack of professionalism on the company/recruiter's part.
first interview was 60 minutes long with a leetcode hard question. second interview was 2 back to back 60 minute leetcode hard with emphasis on data structures. each interview had a 5 minute introduction and 10 minute at the end to ask questions

Standard medium difficulty hackerrank. The question involved decoded an encoded string. It was not something I had seen on LeetCode before and I think was unique to the company. The question was not that difficult but I ran out of time right before I could finish answering.

It started of with one phone screen, then if you pass you have 2 back to back technicals, then 3 1 hour behaviorals, hiring committee, and management committee. Standard Leetcode and behavioral questions.
