I had two skype-interviews. The first was with a recruiter. She said it would be about half an hour and just a bit of info on the job and to find out a bit more about me. It only lasted about 10 minutes, though. It was ok but at the same time I felt a bit bulldozed since I got asked about the salary pretty much straight away and before I knew too much about the position and the opportunities that would arise from it. I felt pressured to say that I was ok with a salary that was in fact way too low. I received an email after the first interview saying that a mistake had been made in the interview and that the salary would in fact be even lower than mentioned before.
I then got asked to do a second skype interview with two team leaders of the customer service team. They were very friendly and we had a nice conversation about the job and myself. Afterwards I got invited to come to an interview in Oxford. Since it was made clear that there would not be another negotiation about the salary, I did not accept the invitation. It would be absolutely impossible to afford a living in Oxford with the salary I was offered.
