This was the longest interview process I have ever experienced. I have applied to the role back in January. I got the first phone interview after a month. The next interview was scheduled after more then a month since the previous one took place. Another few weeks passed until I got an answer. They were proposing me another role within the company for which they thought I am a better fit. Few weeks passed and I got the 3rd interview, followed by the last one after another month. After 4 month of interviewing, they got back to me telling me they decided to hire someone they knew (not that my profile wasn't a match for them) and they proposed me another role for which I was supposed to start interviewing again. I have refused their last proposal as this process took too long and there was no warranty that, after all the interviews, they will go again with "someone they know". Very disappointing.
