Not sure why they called me when my background is 80% broadcast and 20% IT. They were looking for the opposite numbers: 20% IT and 80% broadcast. I found the interview really weird, especially Interviewer 1, who was acting as a “very clever guy” asking me questions like why did I have a gap year in 2018 (6 years ago). Like is that relevant at all what I did 6 years ago? Also, Interviewer 2, acknowledged that they had looked at my LinkedIn profile, and asked me why I joined a company recently. I shared that my department was made redundant, and I had to get a new job to pay the bills, and I was looking now for a job I was really interested in. They were not impressed with my response. It was a waste of time by both parties, and I just found their attitude dreadful, especially Interviewer 1. He didn’t even want to shake hands at the end of the interview, and had to go to his desk to say farewell before leaving the building. Four months later, they’re still looking for someone in that position.
