      Entretien

I was called for an interview, went through the basic questions that are always asked and was given a date and time for the interview. I arrived early for the interview, asked for the store manager, who told me to go wait in the training room hallway. I did as told, said hello to the employees that were there and waited. After the interview start time passed. the store manager finally came back, printed my paperwork from his computer, left the papers on the table, face up, which showed I scored high on all categories of the application process, he told me to have a seat and he would get the employees that were to do my interview to come back in a few minutes. Fifteen minutes later, thirty minutes after the start time of the interview was supposed to have started, two employees came in, introduced themselves and led the worst-style of interview I have ever had. They were not organized, keep checking to see what they were going to ask, didn't know what questions they were told to ask by the store manager, kept saying the other one was supposed to ask the questions and after they were done, said "We will call you or if you didn't get the job, a lot of times we just don't call you, but we might call you if you didn't get the job, would that be OK?" I told them to please call me if I got the job or not. The confused supervisors still haven't called, not a surprise with the way they acted during the interview.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

All were the basic questions you would expect, because they read from the papers left on the table by the store manager. One they kept asking was about my seasonal job, that I wasn't going back to, due to the commute and not driving any more, which I explained at least 5 times about and they still couldn't understand that I wanted to work near where I live. What part of that was confusing, maybe they just didn't understand because they didn't have it written down in front of them to read from.

I met with three different people. First was the in-house HR personnel, then an Assistant Manager, and last was the Store manager. You can usually tell after meeting with the Assistant Store Manager as to whether you will be offered the position. They are the ones that will work closely with you compared to the Store Manager. Genuinely Impressive them and express how you will make a positive difference and you're good.

Applied online with lots of personality test, mathematical test and timed IQ test. a week later got a phone interview from head quarter not from the actual location, simple automated yes or no questions and the person asked 3 questions about job experience, customer service, and multitasking under stress. the person set me a in person interview at the actual store. a week later, had interview, I met store manager in his office, there's other candidate waiting for interview, including even couple of current employees, the manager was nice and polite, and very professionally conduct interview, asked 5 questions, in between question, he asked about additional specific question about technical skills, or retail experience in large scale box store. Interview lasted about 30 minutes, at the end of interview, he offered me 3 different positions that I can choose with hourly rate. I accepted. in an other office, they did drug test and make me sign on consent documents.

Two managers asked cross referenced questions about situations that were good and bad. The questions were all role playing types meant to determine how you interact with customers and resolve problems. Basically retail sales 101. Questions aimed at the resume were meant to find the best department for placement. I was never asked how soon I could start or if I needed to give notice to my employer.

      Questions d'entretien [1]

      Question 1

What was the worst situation that you had to deal with and how did you handle it? What did you do in your past job and what were your major responsibilities?
