Filled out an online application for the Cumming, GA store.
Was contacted by the Corporate Staffing Center to schedule an interview at the store.
Arrived at the store on the appointed date/time and was told the manager I was supposed to interview with wasn't there. Person at Customer Service desk talked to another manager on the phone and that manager said they were too busy to do the interview. CS person took my name and phone number. Manager didn't call back. I called the Corporate Staffing Center again and explained what happened. They rescheduled the interview.
Arrived for second appointed date/time and again the manager I was supposed to interview with was not in. This time I spoke to another manager and she called the person I was supposed to interview. The interviewing manager said she never got any emails from the staffing center about the interviews. Within earshot of me the manager that was there told the other manager she was 'too busy' to interview me. I was asked to come back again the next day. I agreed to do so. I called the staffing center back after this second attempt at interviewing and withdrew my application for this location. I also decided not to go to the interview. They did not call me to see where I was. I guess they just don't care.
If they are treating applicants this way how are they treating employees? And worse yet, customers?
I have interviewed with other locations and not had problems like this.
If you want to work at Home Depot I would suggest you avoid this location.
