Applied through job sites; Role was for business strategy and business development; and Was directly interviewed by SVP; Interview focus was more on past experience, projects and domain knowledge, it was more of a face-to-face meeting than an interview; asked about my telecom domain experience, kind of clients that I had worked with etc.

Interview process was quite smooth but its time taking. I had too wait for a month to receive the offer letter. Overall it is good process. There are total 2 rounds

About the current project in the organisation i was working for
It was well laid out process and the panel was having immense knowledge of the subject to have an interesting discussion. Interviewers were very friendly and welcoming. Recruiters were very supportive and they explained the process nicely.

Summary
Walk in on Saturday invited by HR after shortlisting
Spent all day, got selected through all rounds even HR discussion went well. Hinted at salary constraints.
HR released interim offer letter. I accepted offer subject to final approvals.
HR put offer on hold referring to unsatisfactory academics for 10 yrs experienced candidates.
Hidden rule of academic requirements apparently or actual reason hidden.
Advice to HR:
Make your requirements clear from the start rather than wasting time of candidates and taking candidates for a ride
